What does this mean for you?
A restricted fire season means anyone who wants to light an outdoor fire will need a fire permit authorised by Fire and Emergency, which they can apply for at www.checkitsalright.nz
It is also important to exercise caution when using machinery that may generate sparks, or operating a haangi or barbeque.

The Onewhero Fire Brigade is a group of volunteers who strive to provide a service to their community in responding to a range of incidents including fires - both structural and vegetation, medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, rescues, and civil defence emergencies. We're here for Onewhero 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We appreciate all of the support of our community, who allow us to continue to carry out our role which is to whakarotonga iwi - serve our people.
